Boxing Gear Care

Look after your gloves and they will look after you!
Keeping your equipment clean and in good condition is essential as they can produce bacteria and germs due to sweat.

Here are our top tips and tricks to keeping your boxing gear in the best condition possible:

Wipe them down
Straight after you finish your session try and remove some of the moisture by wiping down your equipment with a paper towel.

Don't put them straight back into your training bag
Try to avoid putting your sweaty smelly boxing gear straight back into your training bag right after training. Letting them air out will help reduce moisture, bacteria build up and bad smells. The Outboxd drawstring bags are great as they have a breathable mesh section allowing your bag and equipment to breathe after use.

Disinfect
The next step is to disinfect them. Using a disinfectant spray and a paper towel, lightly wipe down your equipment and pat dry afterwards.

Air them out
Don't put your boxing gear back into a confined space, let them air out with some fresh air. Once they are dry, clean and smelling fresh again, pop them back into your gym bag and you are ready to go again.

You may wash your hand & quick wraps, DO NOT iron or bleach them.
DO NOT put your boxing gloves in the washing machine or dryer.
